Key Accountability:
• Apply thorough knowledge of principles, Practices, methods and advanced concepts in the area of specialization and in related area of practice to Support the successful delivery of high-quality projects on time and to budgets.
• Lead and assist Multidisciplinary teams to complete complex projects.
• Prepare SOW, enquiries, and proposals for client, Lead efforts to Evaluate and select partners and direct and review output.
• Consider the strength of Material and select appropriately, provide technical guidance in Maintaining safety in design and construction.
• Advice on obtaining approvals from IIT/ Statutory authority.
• Review of contractor’s shop drawings & technical submittals, liaise with the
project team.
• Analyse configurations of the basic components of a structure, liaise with other Engineering teams as Architects and MEP.
• Carry out all the relevant Structural (Cast in-situ & Precast elements) and Architectural inspections.
• Use Computer Aided Design technology for simulation Purposes to validate building stability.
• Ensure all Quality checks before drawings are released for construction.
• Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies.
• Stay updated with relevant technical developments within the discipline.
• Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to the line manager.
Candidate Experience and Qualifications
• 8+ Years in Structural Engineering, design, and review
• Excellent work ethic and proactive individual
• Capable of working under own initiative and as part of a team
• Qualified (Bachelor of Science / Major Civil Engineering –2001)
• Good communicator, both in writing, on the telephone and face to face with customers
• Good numeracy skills
• Competent in MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
• Able to prioritise tasks and manage time, to meet tight project deadlines.
• Good technical and proposals and submittals management
• Good technical review ability
• Ability to carry out site surveys and understand detailed schematic designs.
• Working knowledge of Uptime Tiers & TIA 942-B – ATD preferred but not essential.
